Biography

Lisa Crane Greer is founder and managing partner of Media Venture Advisors, a boutique management consulting and strategic advisory firm, where her practice combines business consulting, sales and marketing strategies, new business development, and executive training, recruitment and coaching. Media Venture Advisors' consulting services, including strategy, business development, and tactical planning and organization, have been retained by dozens of leading technology, media and entertainment companies. Lisa also has served as a special consultant to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), advising on the facilitation of royalty agreements between the RIAA and Webcasters, as well as on the streaming audio business.

Previously, Lisa was president and CEO of Soundbreak, an innovative alternative music experience featuring live webcasts with digital jocks interacting with users online. Prior to joining Soundbreak, Lisa was Vice President of NBC Interactive and General Manager of NBC.com, the network's flagship entertainment website. While at NBC, she developed and executed highly successful strategies for e-commerce, promotions, content and program development. Lisa was also responsible for the company's broadband portal, for NBC Interactive's West Coast operations and creative teams and served as liaison for NBC's strategic investment partners. She also oversaw online and interactive programs and services for NBC's Entertainment division and helped steer the overall strategy for the convergence of traditional and new media. Lisa left NBC when the interactive division was sold to become NBCi, a transaction that she participated in directly.

Prior to NBC, Lisa served as Vice President of Universal Studios Online where she ran UniversalStudios.com, the company's aggregate web presence encompassing its music, video, theatrical, television and theme park units, as well as Spencer Gifts. Her previous roles at Universal included Vice President of Marketing for New Media, Vice President of Specialty Licensing for Consumer Products and Director of Animation Art.

Lisa holds a bachelor's degree from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University. She is married to industry veteran Joshua Greer, and lives in Beverly Hills with her five children.
